Mayea captures 2nd 2009 late model victory with 2 in a row

The weekend started off with Rob qualifying fastest out of 24; just less than eight hundredths of a second from breaking the track record. During the heat Rob was able to move from his 8th place starting spot to 2nd. At Willamette Speedway the fastest to quailfy start in the back of the feature; which put Rob to start 16th. Rob wheeled his way to the front of the pack to take the lead with 12 laps remaining in the 40 lap feature.

After winning the trophy dash Rob ran a victory memorial lap for the owner of Willamette Speedway, Clair Arnold. With Miller and Mayea tying for 2nd fastest qualifying time, that put Mayea starting 14th in the main event.  Running a strong race Mayea ended 3rd. Rob Mayea Motorsports would like to congratulate Justin Dittman on his first late model victory.

First Oregon race of the 2009 season

Mayea qualified 5th out of 31 cars, which put him at a starting position of 13th. Ten laps into the race Mayea was moving up quickly, running 4th, when the yellow came out for a wreck on the front stretch. The severity of the accident led to the race being called early. We are thankful that Glaser and Boyd are okay.

Mayea suffers mechanical failure

Rob Mayea Motorsports takes the long haul to Hanford, California to race at Kings Speedway. While driving the Schram's Excavation owned late model Mayea qualified 10th out of 28 and won his heat race.  Winning the heat gave Mayea a starting spot in the trophy dash but after 3 laps Mayea suffered  mechanical failure.
